Job Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Wisconsin Institute of Functional Medicine, you will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care within our integrative healthcare model. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient experiences and optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Prepare and room patients, documenting pertinent information such as medical history, medications, and reason for visit.
Obtain patient vital signs and conduct specific screenings, including InBody scans.
Perform phlebotomy and laboratory testing per provider orders.
Administer peripheral IV insertion and vitamin/mineral infusions under physician or Nurse Practitioner delegation and supervision.
Assist physicians and Nurse Practitioners with office procedures, including injections, pellet procedures, PRP treatments, and Stem Cell therapy.
Communicate with providers regarding patient inquiries and questions.
Electronically fax/call in prescription refills and new prescriptions.
Perform office responsibilities, including answering phones, taking messages, and performing triage within the scope of nursing practice.
Coordinate with specialty offices and other healthcare providers as directed by the provider.
Complete referral forms and other paperwork as needed.
Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for documentation, referrals, scheduling, order entry, and prescription requests.
Participate in the orientation and training of new personnel.

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited, licensed practical nursing school or medical assistant program with 2-3 years of experience.
Current Wisconsin LPN or CMA License.
