Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in supporting clinical operations and enhancing the patient experience. This position focuses on clinical support, patient preparation, rooming, workflow efficiency, and supply management, while working closely with providers, nurses, and the operations team.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you’ll support daily clinical operations by caring for patients—bringing organization, warmth, and efficiency to every visit. Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Support & Rooming
- Welcome patients and escort them to exam rooms in a warm, professional manner
- Room patients efficiently and accurately
- Obtain and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, etc.)
- Perform InBody scans and ensure accurate data entry
- Prepare patients for provider visits by reviewing appointment flow and ensuring readiness
Clinical & Room Support
- Turn over exam rooms between patients, including cleaning, restocking, and setup
- Ensure rooms are consistently stocked with supplies and organized according to clinic standards
- Assist with maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming clinical environment
Inventory & Supplies
- Assist with inventory tracking and restocking of clinical and supplement supplies
- Prepare patient gift bags, supplement samples, and wellness materials
Administrative & Team Support
- Support clinical workflows to ensure providers stay on schedule
- Communicate effectively with nurses, providers, PSRs, and operations staff
- Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and HIPAA guidelines
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture grounded in professionalism and servant leadership
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; warm, professional, and patient-focused
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking
- Ability to follow established clinical workflows, protocols, and safety standards
- Comfortable using technology, EHR systems, and basic diagnostic equipment
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support providers and operations as needed
- Dependable, adaptable, and proactive in maintaining clinic flow and patient experience
- Willingness to cross-train on phones and front office support
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Wisconsin)
2+ year of experience as a CNA in a clinical or medical office setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
Experience with vital signs, rooming patients, and clinical support
Knowledge and previous experience using Outlook, Teams, Word, and a Medical Electronic health records (EHR)
Interest in functional or integrative medicine
